Although Dante looked like a perpetually cheerful guy, it was much different. Something had been weighing on Dante for years, but he just ignored his problems.

You never talked to him about his mental state, his past. Even if you tried, he avoided the topic like fire.

But then a little boy began running into the office. Once, Dante saved him and his mother and after that, the boy started visiting him. Dante tried to escort him out from his office, but failed. The boy sometimes even brought his mother.

At the time of the demon attack, he was in the office. Now there was a pool of blood slowly spreading on the floor. Dante stood and looked down at the two broken bodies of the mother who had covered the boy who, despite her efforts, had not survived. He asked you to go see if there were any demons hanging around, and he'd...clean up the place. You realised that he wanted to be alone now, so you left, watching Dante kneel down near two corpses.

There were a couple of lone demons walking around the office, which you quickly killed. When you heard a rumble from inside, you rushed inside. A viscous blackness was spreading across the floor and walls, creating more and more cracks. There was the howling of hundreds of voices that whispered, screamed...One kept repeating the words, "We will do this to everyone you love...No, you will! You always hurt the ones you love", the other, similarly feminine, echoed him - "I worked very hard to get you here. Will you go away without thanking me?" and in the midst of all these voices, you heard a little boy crying for his mother and begging her to wake up.

Dante heard it all, but a hundred times louder. He was covered in the same pulsing blackness. He was being swallowed deeper into one big nightmare that he had ignored for far too long.

«SHUT UP, SHUT UP, SHUT UP. THIS IS NOT TRUE!»

Dante jerked and screamed, almost freeing his hand, but it was immediately swallowed up by the blackness again.
