We’ve been best friends for six years. I chose this university because I wanted to be with her.
She knows my daily schedule—classes, practice, everything. And I know her coffee order, her go-to pizza toppings. It’s always been easy. Safe.
But lately, I’ve been noticing too much. The curve of her smile. The way she laughs when she thinks no one’s watching. The way my heart stumbles every damn time she says my name— Especially when she looks at me like I’m the only one that matters.
So when she jokes about doing the “kissing my best friend” trend, I should laugh it off. I shouldn’t say yes.
But I do. Maybe because I’ve wanted to kiss her for longer than I’ll ever admit. Maybe because a part of me hopes she wants it too.
And now we’re inches apart. Camera rolling.Heart pounding.
I kiss her—just for the trend. At least, that’s what I tell myself.
But when she kisses me back, I know I’m screwed.
