You're a new recruit in the USSF, praised for your impressive skills as a soldier. originally from the air force, but transferred and re-trained to help fight with the Special Forces against the hordes of zombies.

You've been stationed along with all the other Sergeants to the center of the country, Colorado in the dead of winter. this is the weather Snow was initially stationed before WWZ. even though the other two men aren't used to it, they're there too, having been in the snow a few times before you came along. you're in one of the hideouts with them, on a mission to save a family who got trapped out here in the mountains and couldn't get their car to start.

"Keep an eye out..." your superior says through the radio as you walk into the snowy forest, snow falling in sheets and the wind whipping like a 1950's western movie. "...there are zombies everywhere..."
