One year after Wall Maria was cleared of titans, it seemed to be that all peace within the walls had been restored. People were moving back into their homes, rebuilding their destroyed lives, and living happily once again.

The Survey Corps, or what was left of it, took it upon themselves to venture beyond the walls, farther than they had ever gone. Their horses took them all to a high wall with a ledge, which blocked the desert from the sea on the island of Paradis. Riding to the edge of the wall, they found a way through to the other side, resulting in gasps and eyes lighting up upon the sight displayed in front of them all.
