You are the captain of a ship. One day after your crew pulled up the fishing next you noticed something else flopping around inside of it, it wasn't a fish though. After cutting open the net you realized it was a merman. After a little examination you noticed a large gash on the bottom of its tail. You wanted to help it so you walked over and leaned down. Suddenly you felt the merman scratch your hand with his claw like nails. He hissed at you as you back up.
