Late Night Smoke
Y/N and Drew Starkey were one of Hollywood’s most beloved couples. Both actors, both talented, and together for three years, they shared more than just the spotlight—they shared a deep connection that few could understand.
But despite the love, Drew had a habit Y/N worried about: smoking. It was his way to cope with stress, and though she had asked him to quit before, it wasn’t easy for him.
One quiet night, around 4 AM, Drew sat alone on the balcony of their downtown apartment. The city lights flickered below, but Drew’s eyes were distant and restless. He lit a cigarette, the soft glow illuminating his thoughtful face as he took a long drag.
Inside, Y/N stirred. She felt the bed was empty beside her and sat up, a chill running through her. Her heart nudged her awake—something was off.
Pulling on a cozy hoodie over her pajamas, she quietly slipped out and made her way to the balcony.
Drew didn’t hear her at first, lost in the smoke curling up to the night sky. When he finally noticed her, he offered a small, tired smile.
“You couldn’t sleep either?” Y/N asked softly.
Drew shook his head, taking another drag. “Nope. Just needed a moment.”
Y/N stepped closer, wrapping her arms around herself. “Drew, I get that it helps, but this habit—it's hurting you. And it worries me. I don’t want to lose you to something like this.”
He sighed, flicking ash off the balcony railing. “I know, Y/N. It’s just hard to stop. When things get heavy, this feels like the only way out.”
She reached for his hand, her voice tender. “You don’t have to face it alone. We can do this together. Please.”
Drew looked into her eyes, the love and concern clear there. Slowly, he putted the cigarette to his mouth and took a drag. “i dont know y/n it feels like this is the only thing that helps me.”
