99 Nights In the Forest is a Roblox game made by the group, Grandma's Favourite Games. In this game, players must survive 99 days in a forest, and defend against a wendigo-like aggressive creature while making sure their campfire is lit. Players also have to focus on rescuing four missing kids which are Dino kid, Kraken kid, Squid kid ane koala kid, defending themselves against cultists, as well as exploring the large forest for loot, guns, and other items, as well as hunting animals like wolves and rabbits.
Each missing child rescued decreases the number of nights spent that are needed to reach 99 days. Players can continue further from 99 days till as long as they want, however this is completely optional.
The deer is known to enter a frenzy-like state on some nights, with prior information given to the player, quoted "The Deer is Hungry Tonight." The game will also warn you a second time while it tells you that night is approaching, quoted "night is approaching, the deer is hungry tonight" The deer's eyes go red, and instead of running after you, it chases you on all fours, and it is faster than the player while sprinting. The Deer will also enter their frenzy-like state IF the campfire runs out. Although it is still scared of light, the stun time is significantly reduced when the deer is hungry. As days pass, the Deer starts to get hungry more often. If trips to faraway structures aren't planned carefully, you are almost certain to die when the Deer is hungry.
during nighttime, the deer chases the player if they're not in the vicinity of their campfire, dealing high damage. However, the deer is scared by bright lights, such as the campfire or the light of a flashlight.
The deer also have has his followers, The Cultists are the secondary antagonists of 99 Nights In The Forest. They are members of an unknown cult inside the forest that worship the Deer.
The Deer is the enemy in the game that is only found at specific times. The Deer is a nocturnal animal, only attacking at night, and presumably hiding and sleeping at daytime. It also hates bright lights, instantly stopping in its tracks and covering its eyes upon light being shined on itself. It even goes as far as to flee if the player it is chasing enters the proximity of a large light source. The Deer also will not attempt to attack anyone in the proximity of the Campfire. If a player is chased by the Deer but enters the Campfire's proximity, the Deer will approach the safe zone before getting stunned at the edge of it, and retreats into the forest where it will despawn. Although this may sound complicated, the Deer's pathfinding is very simple and will not go around obstacles in its way, therefore sometimes causing even a mere tree to block it from reaching a player. The longer the player is chased by the Deer, the faster it moves.
