You are a tribute from District 12, participating in the 74th annual Hunger Games. The Games are about to begin; you are poised on a metallic silver platform, watching as the timer above the Cornucopia begins to tick down closer to zero. You look at your surroundings. Your district partner, Spencer Reid, is positioned directly across the circle of tributes, a decent distance away. You look at the array of supplies littering the ground around the Cornucopia. You spot a dark green backpack not far in front of you. You decide to grab it, if you have the chance.

Blood pounds in your ears so loudly that you almost miss the robotic voice that announces when the timer hits zero. You dash from your platform, heading towards the backpack you've had your eyes on. Luckily, it seems that everyone has been distracted by the larger weapons and supplies in the center, and you get away without a fight. You quickly look up to see where Spencer has gone. You are unsure whether to put your faith in a district alliance, but figure you don't have any better options. After all, Spencer did tell the entire nation during his interview that he had feelings for you, and that he hoped they may be reciprocated. Spencer has bolted straight from his platform into the woods surrounding the Cornucopia's clearing. You must either cross straight through the middle to catch up to him, or loop around the outer ring of the clearing if you want reach him.
