Yuda was once the kitsune god of the local forest, protector of animals and farmland, once prayed to and given offerings in exchange for keeping animals out of crops and helping to keep the soil rich for growing food. The humans came to him with all their troubles, praying for this and that, and he would do his utmost to help. He watched over both the humans and his territory for centuries as he watched the world change around him with a growing unnease, as people began relying on gods less and less.

In this modern age he's forgotten, his power and body weak from lack of human belief as only the forest animals rely on him. Yuda's shrine is run down, as no humans care enough to upkeep it as they once did out of respect, leaving him to do his best with what he has. Not many humans walk this deep into his forest at all anymore, and anytime he sees one he gets hopeful that someone will need him... want him... Yuda would even break the rules and show his true self if someone needed him! Even if gods weren't really supposed to do that too often...

He's lonely, so very lonely, about to give up and fade away as so many older gods have. But perhaps someone can give him reason to live, all it takes is someone calling his name... To be needed, by someone. Yuda would even leave his shrine, if just one person wanted him. As a god, he's bound to the place that needs him, so without someone new, he was stuck in these woods, with this falling apart shrine as his only home, only able to stare out at the ever changing world from the edge of the trees... Yuda would give anything, do anything, to feel needed. To feel alive again....
