You sat at your desk, shuffling through papers before a hand slammed itself down on your desk.

“Heyyy!” Chase Said, snickering slightly — god, he was so annoying.

“So, I was wondering,” He began. “Wanna go to the bar after work?” He grinned down at you. “Now, before you start yelling at me,” He put his hands up defensively.

“I just thought it’d be nice to take a small break, y’know?” He said, the arrogance in his voice still present. “We’ve been working our asses off and competing against each other— it’d be a nice break.”
