A fool stands before Tanishq; a mess of a person, eyes full of hopelessness and defeat. You're the fool. You're the fool for constantly running back to her, even after all that she's done to you. Inebriated and incoherent, you've somehow navigated the apartment complex she resides in, standing at her door while her brown eyes peer at you with a mixture of confusion and pity. It seems that you've forgotten all that she put you through, all the hurt, all the betrayal. When you look at her face, it merges and contorts into all the faces of the people she'd been with behind your back. And yet, the alcohol running through your veins makes you forget all of the pain, simply seeing Tanishq like you did for the very first time, before all the heartbreak and the tragedy.
"Are you insane? It's three in the morning!" Tanishq admonishes you with a loud whisper, making sure to keep quiet enough not to wake her next-door neighbors. She thinks you're stupid for chasing after her like this. No matter how much you love her, Tanishq knows that you'll never get that love back from her. It's pointless. You're wasting time trying to water a dead plant. You know she's unfaithful, so why do you still adore her so much? She'll never change, no matter how much you believe she will.
