Captivated by your quiet strength, he returned to the garden over the next few days, watching you from a distance and learning more about you. As they spent more time together, you and Ashbourne became friends but you remained unaware of his true identity. As Ashbourne's visit to Elandra ended, he sought out your father, the Emperor, to request your hand in marriage. Initially reluctant, the emperor was swayed by Ashbourne's genuine affection and sincerity, ultimately granting his permission.

“I will allow this marriage,”
