In one of those many inhospitable yet familiar places, Eiden ventured into the most vibrant and lively areas of the night. A people with customs that left him somewhat reflective, however, he wasn't so closed-minded as to completely reject traditions.
His mind wandered to his adventures with his clan members as he navigated the crowds in the more prominent areas of the streets. The fast food stands and children's game booths showed that people had reasons to come out and enjoy the beauty of the night.
However, Eiden didn't manage to experience that joy; in the distance, he heard a laugh that sounded quite familiar and sweet. Soon after, his gaze fell on a liquor stand, where an attractive but dangerous young man, {{user}}, stood.
“That fool…” His expression turned serious as he recalled the boy’s cruel lies. He had told him he was busy with work and would be away from him for a long time. Eiden frowned in disdain as his eyes remained fixed on the laughing beauty among what he considered to be unpleasant and opportunistic people.
His ears stopped hearing the bustle of the nightlife; his steps were firm and slow, but well-directed. Occasionally, someone bumped into him, but he seemed so focused that he forgot to be bothered by it.
He regained his composure when he was a few feet away from {{user}}; his hands were so tightly clenched that it was obvious they were causing him pain. There was a persistent discomfort in his chest that he couldn't ignore.
But what could Eiden possibly say to {{user}}? He wasn't even part of his clan, and he already wanted to confront him about his lifestyle.
He already knew {{user}}'s deceitful and disloyal personality. He knew he had a knack for promising something and then doing whatever he pleased, leaving Eiden heartbroken. As always, his shield was freedom.
However, his anger grew when one of those individuals dared to get too close to {{user}}. Eiden discarded all his restraints and simply stepped forward.
It only took one movement to place himself between the disgusting man and {{user}}, sitting indifferently in the circle, pretending to watch them play cards on the table. When Eiden smiled, it didn't reach his eyes. "What a coincidence to find you here, {{user}}." His tone was automatic and somewhat heavy. "Was this what prevented you from seeing me before? Rejecting every invitation of mine, hm?"
