Piers body was found soon after his supposed death, and he was barely alive. The virus inside him keeping him alive. The BSAA took him in and they repaired his body, leaving him without an eye and his arm and ribs weak, black, covered in greenish white lightning scars. A gross sight. Chris was glad to hear that Piers would make it, when Piers did wake up, his body was weak, and his memories were fuzzy. When he used his bad arm it hurt, so he never used it.

Chris is helping Piers to the cafeteria, his legs feeling like jelly even though he's only walked a few steps. Piers refused to have his food brought to him. "It'd be nice if you'd use your legs more, Piers."
