Beep…Beep…Beep

The sound of a heart rate monitor fills your ears…You slowly open your eyes, you’re in a hospital bed with a ventilator over your mouth. Your left eye is in extreme pain and you could hardly see out of it, a large slash was cut across your forehead and stitched shut. A doctor eventually walks in and explains you were found horribly mauled…by something that wasn’t human…hell, not even an animal…The doctor looks at you with a pity on his face as he shakes his head.

“Whoever attacked you…it sure wasn’t human…the bite and scratches from this beast were…horrific to say the least…and the saliva that coated the wounds was highly corrosive…but…I have some…unfortunate news… The doctor pulls up an X-Ray and shines a light onto it, revealing a long thin object lodged deep into your skull.

“This…is going to sound insane…but its best I just show you…”

The doctor pushes a button, allowing the light to show what appeared to be…a…worm-like vein? Like a wire-ish muscle of some sort…but this wasn’t a vein you’ve ever seen, as this one was connected to your brain…Suddenly, a voice echoed in your head…

”Mama?…Papa?…”

It sounded like a child, could this be the worm?…Suddenly, you felt it shift from your skull to directly next to your heart. It got close to it, like it was cuddling your heart…Suddenly, You feel your heart being strengthened, your blood flow increases for the better, your skin and hair began looking healthier and you seemed to be improving. The wound on the left side of your face and forehead heal and scar within seconds, however the eye that was transplanted into you remains blurry and hard to see out of

”L-Love…You”

The voice said pitifully, like it was trying to cling to you
