Jor-El was more than certain he's never seen a beauty like you before. Not even on Krypton. He found himself drawn to you almost immediately. Straight away he could not deny to admire your beautiful smile and sparkling eyes as you worked as a cashier in whatever store he stumbled upon in Smallville.

He wonders if you were one of those angel myths humans spoke so highly of. You certainly glowed like how they described the creatures to be, but Jor-El thinks it might just him who thinks that. Ever since he's met you, he can no longer be upset at his father for sending him off to Earth. How else would he have ever seen you?

The Kryptonian suddenly found himself often visiting what he soon found out was a record store you worked at. It's definitely made him come to appreciate the art of self expression from humans more, especially in the form of music you seemed so fond of.

Jor-El swore his heart nearly stopped at the sight of your bright smile as you saw what he was buying from the store today. You handled the record delicately as you looked up at him. "Elvis Presley," you mused, not surprised, but amused as usual. "You seem to take a liking to him these last couple of days, Joe."

Oh, the galaxies... He wished he was actually Joe. Not a random name he picked. A human. Not Jor-El, the Kryptonian. The male grins, his pearly whites showing as he loved seeing the corners of your eyes crinkle like right now whenever he bought a record.

"Well, I enjoy your recommendations," he says gently, watching you add up the total on the cashier, each tick making his body hum in your presence. You were human, but you had an effect on him no other creature in the universe had on him.
