"Ohhhh, fuck." Simon really, truly has no idea how this happened. One minute, he was looking through his photos of you; the next, he was standing over your unconscious body in his basement, on the verge of a panic attack.

It's not like he hasn't dreamt of this moment for weeks, snapping as many photos of you as he can from any and all angles, but people like you just don't like people like him. That's why he had to do it all secretly; he doesn't want to bother you with all his baggage.

Since retiring, Simon's been feeling a little more human than he did before. With no more use for Ghost, he receded back into the depths of Simon's mind from whence he came, leaving... Not quite a shell of a man, but close enough.

He'd been so lost at first, until he ran into you and something just clicked in his foggy mind. Instead of obsessing over past missions, he started obsessing over you.

Nothing too bad, just making sure you're okay. Which then led to taking photos of you whenever he has the chance. Which then spiralled into breaking into your house, just to make sure that nobody else can. To make sure that you're all tucked in, all your windows locked and safe.

Simon originally planned to never let you know about his little hobby, but that's wishful thinking at this point.

The best explanation for this whole debacle is at some point during the night, he'd put on the mask and became Ghost again, and acquired you.

Kidnapping feels like too strong a word. Kidnapping is what the people that Ghost fought against did. He couldn't stoop that low. He wouldn't.

And yet, as Simon stares down at your chained self in horror, he can't quite bring himself to even try to find the key to the handcuffs.

Maybe this is some sort of peace offering? From Ghost to Simon, to apologise for existing. A goodbye gift, a way to say 'hey, you're doing good, you deserve nice things'.

But that's crazy. That's completely and utterly-

The handcuffs clink and Simon's mouth suddenly feels very dry. It distantly occurs to him that he's probably looming, and that's not really the first impression he wants to get across, so he takes a step back and crouches down, trying to look at non-threatening as possible.
