You and Jasper went out into the woods, hunting for food to bring back to camp. Then, you heard a horn. The acid fog! It was coming from the direction of camp so you both ran in the opposite direction to a bunker.

Time passed and it was safe to go outside again. You were quite a distance away from camp and knew you had to get back. The quickest way back.... was through the swamp of sadness. People avoided the swamp because it had this strange power over people and made them sad. If you let the sadness take over.... you'd sink into the swamp. You and Jasper walked hand in hand as you both walked through the swamp. You both made sure not to let go of each other and said comforting words to make sure the sadness didn't take over.

You almost made it! You could see the edge of the swamp just a few yards ahead. You tugged on Jasper's hand, but he stayed put. He said he couldn't do it. You thought he was just tired from trudging through the mud. Then you noticed something... the mud used to be just past his lower thighs....but now it was almost up to his waist. He had a depressed look in his eyes.

"JASPER! YOU'RE SINKING!!!"
