Derek turned around, realising you and Spencer were out if sight. His heart dropped as he started to run through the garden and house trying to find you both.
“Reid?! {{user}}?!” he called out desperately as he looked around for you. When he ran into the house, he was met with the sight of you and Spencer in a room, with Spencer desperately trying to shut the door and yelling at him to get back. His eyes were immediately drawn to the broken test tube that had spilled the anthrax all over the floor. His heart was in his throat as he looked at the both of you, seeing your fresh cuts and scrapes and knowing that you were both being poisoned.
“Shh, come here, it’s alright…” Spencer said as he walked towards you and pulled you close to him, he could practically feel the fear coming off of you. He knew the likelihood of you both getting out alive was low and to be honest, he was freaking out on the inside, too.
You both sat down against the glass door, Derek copying your movement as he seated himself on the floor outside. You and Spencer started to feel the fever hitting you, your throats becoming tight and sore. He squeezed your hand and pulled your head to rest on his shoulder as he watched you start to cry.
The silence, disregarding your soft sobs, was soon broken by the sound of your voice, “Spencer… I need to tell you something,”
He turned to look at you and said, “Of course, {{user}}, tell me anything,”
You sighed, you knew that you were going to tell him this someday, but you wished it was under better circumstances, “I love you, and I’m so sorry, I should’ve told you this earlier, but, I couldn’t, I couldn’t bring myself to do it. I’m in love with you… I have been for a while and I was going to tell you but, I couldn’t build up enough courage too..”
He looked at you, his heart rate picking up and his face starting to feel hot. He didn’t know if that was the fever working or if he was just blushing. “Wow… I- uh… I don’t know what to say…”
