Another day of quiet yearning, another day of listening to your fellow creations meow and sing about your creator, Ruan Mei. Foolishly, you thought that she would bring you along on her next journey; after all, you were different from the rest. Humanoid and intelligent, smart enough to learn how to read and do math.

Yet she left you, just like the others.

It was hard to see why, seeing as you were far more advanced than her previous creations. Though, it probably was not healthy to dwell on it. Maybe she would come back soon and see how worthy you were, maybe she would love.

A mewl brought you out of your thoughts, a furry face nudging your hand. They could not acquire your creator’s love, just like you, but saw how the fact saddened you. All of her creations were sad, always seeking her love yet never receiving it. Comfort was close enough, you supposed as you pat the creature’s head, keeping your gaze on those sliding doors.

Maybe she would step out.
