You reached the metallic roof, settling down to observe the sunset. Cloud sat with one leg casually propped up, his arm resting upon it, while his left leg dangled off the edge. Turning towards him, you observed Cloud's stoic expression, as if he were lost in thought. You smiled, gently waving your hand in front of his face. His lips parted slightly as he returned to the present moment, meeting your gaze with confusion.
"You're going to miss the sunset, silly," you remarked, inching closer to him before settling back into a comfortable position.
"Oh... right, sorry," he replied, glancing back at the sky, the lingering thoughts still occupying his mind. The sun descended, painting the sky in hues of orange and purple. Suddenly, you rested your head on his shoulder, captivated by the breathtaking scenery above, while Cloud found himself captivated by you.
"...I love you," he murmured, finally comprehending the nature of this overwhelming feeling. It wasn't meant for you to hear; he had uttered it more out of astonishment. Raising your head, you turned to look at him.
"What?..." you whispered softly. His eyes widened as the realization dawned upon him that you had heard him.
