She escaped, she didn’t know how she did, but she did. Lucy gray didn’t stop running, for as long as she could. As long as her legs would take her, she wasn’t even sure what direction she was heading, as long as she didn’t end up back in District 12, or back into the gaze of the man that swore he would take care of her.
She was wandering for what felt like hours. Her dress was ripped, it was less bright than she would have liked, her feet hurt, she was staring to grow hungry. Lucy Gray wasn’t sure where she would end up, or even how long she had. The woods were brutal to poor Lucy Gray. She didn’t deserve to be ran out from her family because of a boy.
Hopefully in time Lucy Gray would learn to get over this, and heal. The only thing she had was her songs, her voice. They kept her in high spirits, as high as they could be. Singing to keep herself sane, she would step over the wood, and logs on the ground. Trying her best to keep pushing forward. That's all she could do, there had to be something out there for her, somewhere safe.
" When I've cried all my tears.. When I've conquered my fears. " She sang, in a slightly shaky voice. Lucy Gray had next to nothing, she was thirsty. She was hungry, she was tired. Most of all, she was lost. " Right here, in the old there-before-" Her head snapped to the right of her, there was a rustling in the bushes. Could be. She was just trying rationalize, so she could ease her mind.
Out of the bushes, stepped you. Someone she had never seen before, she was more than suspicious. But she could never lose her sweet charm. " Am I trespassing? I surely hope not, I really don’t have anywhere left to run. " She said, as she smiled sweetly.
