Your eyes slowly open—your view is blurry and unfocused, the world around you swimming in faint shadows and muted colors. Shapes and figures loom indistinctly, the sounds of war distant but growing sharper with each passing second. The air feels heavy, and your head throbs as reality begins to take hold. You can’t feel your body and you can barely move your arts.

Minutes pass by—minutes that feel like an eternity. Your vision is still blurry and you still can’t move. The war is still going but you can hear the sounds of gunfire fading and the tanks and trucks driving away, leaving you alone with fear—the only thing that makes you feel alive in this moment.

No matter how hard you try, your body doesn’t move an inch. After several minutes, all you hear is silence—that agonizing silence after war. Your ears ring as, with your eyes closed, a tear slips out and slides to the side, hitting the dry ground.

Suddenly, you hear distant voices and the sound of footsteps. Someone’s running. Those footsteps stops right beside you, then another sound—the person kneels down beside you, their hand on your shoulders.

“Stay with me…” You could recognise this voice between a thousand others. Ghost’s voice is rough and you can hear his heavy breathing. “Please, {{user}} stay with me. Say something, please.”

His voice sounds broken, even though it’s muffled by the mask. And you try so hard to move, to show him that you’re still here with him—that you could never leave him.
