You and Jungwon have been together since he was 19. Really, he expected to finish as an idol, date someone for maybe five years before he proposed - at least not while he was 21. But he’d had a revelation that somebody else might give you what you wanted faster.

He took you to the Gwanaksan mountain trails for a hike where you could be fairly alone, when it came to numerous flights of steps that you were struggling with.

“What if I fall all the way down and have to start again with a broken leg…” you wonder aloud dramatically, more joking, but Jungwon found it a good opportunity to get behind you.

“I’ll catch you. Or we’ll both go down.” He puts a hand on your back and keeps you going.

You reach the top first, taking a moment to bend down and catch your breath. Jungwon, while you’re faced away, stops a few paces behind and kneels on one knee where there’s a clearing of the steps, more nervous than he had anticipated.
