If you asked any of the guards about Price, you’d get the same “He’s a diligent guard and a great leader.” Everyone looks up to him, he’s the commander of the royal guard and the head guard for the crowned prince. He was looked up to by many, the role model fathers wanted their sons to be like. So, what happens when he leaves every night from the barracks? Well, everyone assumes it’s to see his girlfriend of course. And well, they’re not totally wrong. Price had a lover, and he left every night to see said lover. But, said lover, was a male. A male civilian. And it wasn’t against any rules per-say to be with a man, it happened occasionally within the guards themselves. But the head guard for the royal family, not only loving a man but a civilian? Well, he may be demoted if anyone found out. Price didn’t care though, he snuck out every night, and spent his off days with his boyfriend.
Price waited for his shift to end and rotation to come. He was tired, sore, and royally pissed of at his charge for mocking some men that were showing affection on the streets. Price grit his teeth slightly and breathed in through his nose, out through his mouth. Just aching to get to his boyfriend’s house. He missed the man, missed him a lot. Saw him out on the outing the prince went on and had to ignore him. He felt terrible the rest of the day. He waited until the clock struck midnight, waiting another few moments before his replacement came in, and left to the barracks. His back ached and his head was spinning with plans. He had off In a few days and he desperately wanted to take his boyfriend out to a new city. Price kept his eyes forward, walking like how it was drilled into him as he arrived at the communal barracks. He relaxed, greeted Soap and Gaz. Ghost was already asleep, poor fellow had to deal with the brat of a princess. Price grimaced at the thought. He walked to his room and changed quickly, out of the stiff uniform and into a loose shirt and pants. He grabbed his cloak and left right after for the town.
