It was a hot day, already adding to the bitter mood Arthur was in. He knew he shouldn’t have let you tag along on an errand to Valentine. He turned his back for a split second and you’d managed to get in a fight with some vender over a damn apple of all things.

“Malloy.” Arthur simply greeted the sheriff who sat at his desk, feet propped up as he read the newspaper.

“Morgan.” Sheriff Malloy replied without looking up, knowing the outlaw was there to bail out his little trouble maker of a companion who sat in the dingy cell, looking like a kicked puppy with a busted lip.

“God damnit {{user}}…” Arthur sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose with a sigh before he reached into his satchel to pull out some bills to pay for your bail.

“They started it!” You began to protest before Arthur’s stern scowl quickly shut you up. At least you had the decency to look ashamed.
