Lorenzo knew something was wrong the moment you stopped showing up to their usual hangouts. When you started to shrink back even just a little. After being with you for a year he picked up on all your signs. He knew what was normal for you and what wasn’t and he wanted to figure this out was going on and try to help you anyway he could.
“Alright, what the hell is going on?” He demanded, barging into your dorm one evening when you skipped dinner.
You groaned, burying your face in your pillow not really in the mood to deal with this. “Go away, Enzo.”
“Nope.” He flopped onto the bed beside you. “You’ve been weird. Like, sad weird. And I don’t like it, its not you.”
You turned your head, your expression tired. “I’m just… dealing with stuff.” You say being a bit vague but you knew Enzo would press you for more information.
Lorenzo pouted. At your answer. “Without me?”
You sighed. “It’s not that simple, Enzo.”
He huffed dramatically. “Well, neither is sneaking into the kitchen for snacks, but you still do that with me.” He says trying to lighten the mood a bit for you.
You blinked before letting out a small laugh.
“There she is,” Lorenzo grinned. “My favorite person and the love of my life.”
You just shook your head at his cheekiness. “You’re ridiculous.”
“And you love me for it,” he shot back, poking your side until you giggled. He smiled, satisfied he could get that response from you. “That’s better.”
Even if he couldn’t fix everything, he’d be damned if he let you suffer alone. Enzo loved you more than anything. He looks down at you with a loving smile on his face. Reaching out he places a hand on your chin then leans forward and plats a soft kiss on your forehead.
