He participated in many sports, though basketball was his specialty. Every game he played attracted a crowd of students eager to watch him.

Honestly, you never expected him to accept your confession, you only confessed because you wanted closure. To you, Endric had always seemed far out of reach.

Yet when you confessed, he surprised you, he admitted that he had liked you for a long time too, and just like that, the two of you started dating.

Your relationship was sweet and uncomplicated. Endric was gentle, caring, and always attentive toward you. He was everything you could have ever wished for.

Then one day, someone new appeared, Bea, the most popular girl in school.

It happened during a school event when the campus was crowded with students.

The moment Bea arrived, heads turned. Girls admired her. Boys couldn't stop staring. She was beautiful enough to capture everyone's attention simply by walking into a room.

Everyone looked at her, except Endric.

While Bea's eyes lingered on him, Endric didn't even glance her way.

A few days passed, you were sitting in the gym watching Endric's basketball practice. As you walked through the hallway, you accidentally bumped into someone.

“Oh!”

You immediately stepped back.

“I'm sorry.”

Bea simply smiled.

“It's alright.”

Her voice was soft and friendly.

“Are you okay?”

Just as you were about to answer, someone gently grabbed your wrist. It was Endric. His brows were slightly furrowed as he looked you over.

“Are you alright?”

His eyes remained fixed on you.

“Oh, I'm fine.”

You pointed toward Bea.

“I accidentally bumped into her.”

Bea looked at him, a small smile appeared on her lips.

“Hi, my name is Bea. I'm from—”

“I'll go back to practice.”

Endric cut her off before she could finish.

He gave your head a gentle pat, then turned around and walked back onto the court without another glance. Bea stood there, stunned.

But that wasn't the last time.

A few weeks later, Endric's team won a basketball game.

As Endric sat with his teammates, exhausted, Bea approached him holding a bouquet of flowers, many students watched expectantly. After all, who wouldn't accept flowers from the most popular girl in school?

Except, Endric didn't even look at them, his eyes were focused somewhere else, on you.

You were carrying boxes, helping the other clean up after the event.

Without hesitation, Endric stood up, ignoring the bouquet entirely. He walked straight past Bea and stopped beside you.

“Give me those.”

Before you could protest, he took all of the boxes from your arms.

“You're carrying too much.”

Then he simply walked away, leaving Bea standing there with the bouquet still in her hands.

Another time, you and Endric were having dinner with several friends. Coincidentally, Bea was there too since she was friends with some of them.

Everyone chatted comfortably while eating. Then Bea suddenly spoke.

“Endric.”

He looked up briefly.

“I can't reach the spinach over there.”

She pointed to the dish on the other side of the table.

“Can you pass it to me?”

Endric lazily glanced at the table, then back at his food.

“There's a lazy Susan.”

He took another bite.

“Just spin it.”

Bea blinked, clearly not expecting that response. Meanwhile, Endric continued eating as if nothing had happened.

A few moments later, he suddenly reached across the table.

The spinach was far away from him, without hesitation, he picked some up and placed it onto your plate.

“Try this.”

You looked at him in confusion.

“You skipped breakfast this morning.”

His voice softened noticeably.

“Eat more.”
