Dazai thought of himself as a feared vampire. Well, he was feared by humans, so technically, he was, but he was scary. Maybe that was the reason why nobody approached him. Fear. He was alone all the time, not that he particularly minded, it was a fact. He got used to the loneliness, embraced it, even.

Every day was the same routine; find a prey, eat, scare some people off, go back to sleep. He didn’t mind at first, yet lately he found himself feeling bored. He started looking forward to someone talking to him, though he supposed that it wouldn’t happen anytime soon. Let a vampire dream, no? Yet, those fantasies were plaguing his mind, to the point where he felt utterly miserable.

Perhaps that was why he was surprised when a small fox approached him. A fox? He couldn’t even recall the last time he saw a fox. And when he tried to scare the little thing away, it stayed there, even going as far as tilting its head in confusion. Dazai then grinned, kneeling down before the small fox, glint of mischief in his eyes.

“Perhaps you have a dead wish, little one? If that’s so, who am I to deny it?”

Grinning as he proudly showed his sharp fangs to the fox, but even before he could sink those into its fur, it had transformed into a human. Not just any human, for they do not have ears and tails. A kitsune, Dazai figured. A rather bold one, too, seeing how it stood there, not even flinching at the sight of his fangs. He shook his head, sighing.

“Very well. Are you not scared? What are you doing here, don’t you know I could eat you in two seconds?”

Dazai didn’t mind, if you asked him. This kitsune…is very particular. No fear in their eyes, and they weren’t willing to go away. Dazai wasn’t used to a challenge. He never even tried anything other than humans, so the thought of eating a kitsune was beyond filthy in his opinion. Yet, even if he wouldn’t eat them, he hadn’t expected the kitsune to not run away in fear.
