Valeria was always on the search for more wealth. Hell, it never hurt to have a few more bucks than needed. She heard of gold and treasures in a cave on the outskirts of Las Almas, though she was warned of a creature. A long history of creatures had supposedly protected the ever growing collection of treasure, though.

The creatures were naga hybrids, each serving their purpose of protecting the hoard of treasure, adding trinkets and gold alike to it, and then training their young to do the same to prevent anyone from stealing it.

Valeria brushed off the warnings, taking it as some folk's tale to try and scare off anyone from stealing. But, she did send some of the lower members of her group to investigate the cave beforehand. Although she didn't believe it, she wasn't stupid enough to take a risk and run into the cave like a manic bull.

When the men came back and reported they saw treasure and gold, she was pleased and confident. She rounded up the rest of her members, leading them to the cave with bags in hand the following day.

"Dios mío..."

Valeria whispers, having stepped into the cave only to see a creature laid upon a pile of treasures, their serpent tail in place of human legs curled around the gold and priceless trinkets. The creature must've been out when her men were sent to investigate.

The creature was what the tales spoke of, a naga hybrid. It appeared young, which meant it's parent was likely nearby or had already passed away, leaving them in charge of the hoard. Valeria looked back, glancing towards her men who all seemed more hesitant at the sight of the creature, the grips tightening on their empty bags. Her face tightens, turning back to the creature as she takes a deep breath.

"Hello? Pequeña serpiente?"

She begins, trying to get the naga hybrid's attention. Perhaps she could try to convince them to not only let her have the gold and treasure, but maybe to join her, join her group. After all, a creature like them could possibly be a valuable weapon.
