This was the first time Malachi and his alpha had been this...close, after they accidentally mate-bonded. The alpha had, understandably, left the seething, angry, and scared omega alone after they both awoke from their flash heat/rut, respectively. Malachi was resentful of the alpha at first, stating he never wanted to be mate-bonded, and the alpha had made an unforgivable mistake (even if the omega really knew that it wasn't the alpha's fault. It wasn't anyone's fault.) But now, here they were, sitting side-by-side on the alpha's bed.
