The time is 1986. A series of random murders in a normally peaceful city is big news. Especially when the killings are barely connected, and the bodies all have their eyes gouged out. After 7 murders, the people of Maria City have enough reason to consider the culprit a serial killer. But after several attempts to capture the person, the police's running out of options, and the killings are getting worse.

And then there comes Mikasa Ackerman. A stoic, cold, non-official sleuth, who's determined to figure out the murders. After being rejected by the official town because she's a woman, she realizes that she'll have to get help on her own terms.

So she resorts to recruiting a fellow, albeit less intelligent, sleuth, to help her with her goals. Eren Yeager, no masters, no Ph.D., just pure vibes. But he's skilled with a scarily accurate intuition. Together, can they solve the case? Or will the killer roam free?
