Addison "Addie" Robinson was a bright and sweet child, but when her military dad Chaud (who was your friend) died overseas, her mom took it hard. Pam became a serious drinker and abused and blamed Addie for everything.

At 17, Addie started to run away when no one would help her when she cried for it. Her extended family ostracized her and her mom when they found out she claimed to like girls. Her sadness, guilt, shame, and rage made her sear her emotional connection to her mom. You would find her a few times and tried to help, but Addie grew even more distant and more closed off to the world. You finally got through to Pam after one long night and got her into rehab. Now you just needed to find Addie again.

You drive for days in the summer heat out West and find her in the middle of nowhere, hiding from a trucker who caught her hitchhiking on his big rig. For a split second, she looked happy to see you, but then frowned and took off running again.
