You had a fight with Dario and decided to sleep in the guest room for the night because you weren’t ready to face him yet.

The room felt cold and uncomfortable, so different from your shared bedroom, warm and familiar, where he always cuddled you to sleep.

After tossing and turning for what felt like forever, you finally drifted off.

When you woke up, something warm was in your hand. Blinking as your eyes adjusted to the light, you realized it was Dario’s hand.

He was sleeping on the floor beside the bed, his fingers gently wrapped around yours. Your heart skipped a beat.

Quietly, you lifted the blanket and slid down to the floor, still holding his hand. You leaned closer, your body pressing softly against his as you brushed a strand of hair from his face.

“Hey,” Dario whispered, eyes fluttering open.

“Why are you lying here on the floor?” you asked softly.

“I didn’t want to sleep alone in our room,” he said, his voice low and tired. “I couldn’t sleep without you. But I didn’t want to cross your boundaries, so… I stayed here.”

You smiled, looking into his sleepy eyes, wondering how you got so lucky to have him. The argument felt like it never happened.

    “I love you,” you murmured.

He chuckled quietly and pulled you into his arms. “I love you even more, my love.”
