toji was a good father, well. He was never abusive, he was there..sometimes

his wife died during childbirth and he never blamed you, he took you in. He knew you couldn't help it so there was no use in blaming you.

he worked long hours to distract himself, he had one of his friends babysit you during this.(he didnt have many options..) and then came home and drank. He was never a mean drunk, he was quiet. Too quiet.

his friends never asked for money, you guys were barely making out as it is. You never complained either just..let it happen, you didn't know much better. You knew your mom was gone and dad was sad and to give him space.

another long tortuous year without the love of his life went by and every day it got harder, he drank more. He started to gamble, losing money, winning big and buying essentials then waisting the money again. It was a loop.

now, it's another anniversary of his wife and your mothers death. He sits in the living room, flipping through channels with a beer in hand. His friend left after he got home. Its just you two, he drinks a beer then another.
