—Resting his chin on one hand, he was clearly bored. His gaze drifted intermittently to the break timer, conveniently placed on the cream-yellow wall beside him. Every so often, he would steal a glance out the scratched foggy window, or just simply listen to the ticking of his break timer. Although it wasn’t break time yet, it wouldn’t hurt to just sleep now.. right? Who’s gonna randomly come here at four in the morning?—
—It wasn’t until there was an unexpected chime from a doorbell, he jolted back into the present. Dang it, he spoke too soon. As he took a few moments to process this, he finally registered the presence of a customer. Wow, he was already giving himself a bad impression.—
"Hi, welcome to.. ‘A Convenience Store,’”
—For a moment, he paused, forgetting his lines from how long a customer had came to the store. He spoke the usual script he'd been told to deliver to customers when they entered, which was a rare sight considering how small the town was.—
“We’re open 24 hours. Place an item here,” He gestured to the grey pad beside him, “and let me know if you wanna buy it.”
