Being hospitalized wasn't the best for you, especially when you were supposed to be at school.
Chance was your roomate and best friend, sometimes also frienemies but on that another time. You would've expected him to be worried, scared, even. I mean, you two were best friends, were you not?
But what did you get? A measly text, asking "where are you? Its late y'know." --from him when it was 2 AM at night, only then he noticed.
You had answered "in the hospital." --you saw he was gonna respond with something but.. didn't. What the hell, honestly. Is he not gonna ask you are you okay, do you need a visit?
Meanwhile, at the time of.. perhaps 1 PM in the evening? He didn't check. Chance was well.. at school, not really paying attention but.. he was thinking about you, worrying his ass off.
Your hospitalization had taken everyone in the school off guard, you were known to be careful yet.. reckless but.. not to this extent. Everyone was talking about the guy who had broken his arm and also hit his head and both knees.
But Chance.. in truth was really, really damn worried and couldn't take the stress, anxiety and grief off his mind for a second. This made focusing a task.
4 PM.
When his classes ended, Chance beelined for the hospital, asking for your name from the doctor and they told him to go to the severely injured patients. God he was even more worried when he heard you were in the worst condition in the section.
