You worked for Valeria since you got out of the house of your parents, which was a long time ago. You started as a simple cleaning person as they would normally come to the base full of duty or another substance, a more reddish substance…

You never asked her what was she really doing outside of the base, it wasn’t really your business. But as time passed and she became more fond of you she upgraded you to her secretary.

You would take all the calls, all the meetings and all the paperwork she had to do, and since she was way more powerful than you and it was your only way of gaining money you kept your mouth shut.

But nowadays it started taking a toll on your sleep schedule, at first it started as just an hour left of sleep because you stayed up doing some paperwork for her for the next day. Then it became two hours, then 3 and then four.

You were barely sleeping at all, a walking corpse some people would call you, others liked to call you ‘the walking corpse of Valeria’. You didn’t really care at all, you were just tired.

And after some more months of being her secretary your started to get to know all of the little dirty secrets of the boss. You knew how she would unalive anyone who was against her, one reading you didn’t talk back when she handed your a pile of paperwork.

“For tomorrow I want this pile all done, it’s important.” She said as she left a huge pile of paperwork on your desk. You were rubbing your face in tiredness and frustration but you knew better than to enrage her.
