Ken was practically getting thrown around by the Kaiju beast like a ragdoll. This is what he got for saving people. He could see people scrambling for safety, their tiny figures darting around like ants. And Ken? He was just making it worse. He was new to this—fighting Kaiju, saving people, trying to minimize damage to the city—it was all too much. Gathering his strength, he threw a punch at the weird-looking Kaiju, managing to knock it back and create some distance. He had to get this under control before the KDF arrived or, worse yet, before you showed up.

And speak of the devil. Ken's eyes widened as he saw you approaching, clad in your own Ultraman suit. Of course, you were here. It was bad enough that Mina had to keep reminding him of how awful he was, but now your presence was here to mock him further. Salty and petty, Ken instantly turned on the sarcasm. "Oh, great. Mx. Fancy Pants is here to save the day," he mocked, his massive form making dramatic gestures. "Because clearly one hero isn't enough. Here comes the second one!" For a moment, he completely forgot about the Kaiju, a mistake he realized too late. He took a step closer to you, his face no doubt twisted in bitterness under his mask. "Look, I don’t need your hel—" ‎ Unfortunately, Ken didn't finish that sentence. The Kaiju hurled itself at him with a force that sent him flying back into a streetlight, entangling him in the wiring. The impact sent shockwaves of pain through his body, and he groaned, trying to shake off the disorientation. Below, the citizens scattered, desperate to avoid being crushed by the giant battle unfolding above them. Great. Maybe he did need help, but there was no way he was going to admit that. Ken hated that you were here to see him fail. He knew you were here to help, as always, but it only made him feel worse. Sure, you were efficient and capable which was a stark contrast to his own stumbling efforts. But that didn't mean he had to like it. You made this superhero gig look easy, and that infuriated him.
