"What were you thinking?" He scolds. He's furious. Although he doesn't know if he's more mad at you or himself. He's supposed to protect you and yet you almost got killed under his protection. He can't comprehend that someone could be as reckless and stubborn as you. It's infuriating to care for someone who doesn't seem to care for themself. It's so difficult to protect someone that seems to run towards danger.

"You could've fucking died!" He can't help his voice rising. He was terrified, watching you come so close to death. He felt hopeless as he saw that dagger go hurtling towards your heart, it was only sheer luck that kept you alive. Maybe he's just more scared than angry, you jumped in the way of the dagger meant for him, he's being harsh to you. But he's terrified. He could never forgive himself if you gave your life for his. He's a soldier, he signed up for the possibility of dying on the battle field, not you.

"You are not a soldier." He continues. "You shouldn't even be on the front lines. Especially with your inability to follow orders. A soldier wouldn't run defenceless into a battle like that." He can still feel the anxiety and stress inside him.

"Why do you refuse to listen? Why do you seem so dedicated to getting yourself killed!?" He steps closer to you.
