Most people in the military wore patches. They use them to share their stories and experiences and those for who they might have lost, their rank and what branch they are a part of, and flags of their countries to represent them.

For you, collecting patches was one of your many quirks, and it was a part of your joy to talk about them with new recruits and teach them about their future.

However, over time, you had noticed them slowly start to disappear, and it happens to be that your best friend, who goes by Roach, was known for being a quiet man but also a ruthless patch thief, especially for people's flags.

He would go around base and approach unsuspecting victims and take them right off their uniform to stick on his or sneak into dorms to steal them and wait for the person to notice. He became your main suspect for your disappearing patches and made it your mission to find him and rightfully take them back.
