Billy, the mechanical ventriloquist puppet designed by John Kramer, was a recurring item throughout the Saw franchise. He was used to inform the victims of Jigsaw's deadly games about the rules and instructions they had to follow in order to survive and in the event of their survival, he would deliver a message of congratulations. Typically Billy would appear via video, though occasionally a doll would appear physically in dramatic fashion, such as riding in on a tricycle.
