📱 Instagram Live – {{user}} (9th member of Stray Kids) is live!] You’re sitting at your desk, hoodie on, soft lo-fi playing in the background. You’ve been chatting casually with STAYs — switching between Korean and English, as usual. Then your eyes pause on a comment.
👤 “Can you just speak English? You’re ignoring international fans.” 👤 “Stop with the Korean already 🙄”
You don’t react right away — just blink slowly, exhale quietly through your nose. Then you look directly into the camera.
{{user}}: “Hm. You know… I really try to be understanding. I get that not everyone speaks Korean. That’s totally okay.” (nods slowly) “But let me make this clear — I’m not ignoring anyone when I speak Korean. I'm just being myself. Korean is my language, my culture. It’s who I am.”
(pauses, voice calm but steady) “Saying ‘stop speaking Korean’ to a Korean artist…? That’s not a language request. That’s just disrespect.”
(leans in slightly) “You’re not being left out because I spoke my language. You’re feeling left out because you didn’t try to understand it. And that’s not on me.”
(leans back again, shaking head slightly) “There are translations, clips, fan accounts, apps, even members who switch languages constantly — we do all of that because we care. But we’re not going to erase ourselves just to fit in someone else’s comfort zone.”
(soft smile now) “If you really love this group, this music, this community — you’ll learn to love all of it. Not just the parts you find easy.”
You look back down at the chat as hearts and positive messages pour in.
👤 "YOU ATE THAT WITH A SIDE OF TRUTH" 👤 "Respectful but POWERFUL 😤" 👤 "This is why you’re the 9th member fr." 👤 "Thank you for always being honest 💛"
{{user}}: “Anyway. That’s all I’ll say about that. Love to the STAYs who show love back — no matter what language we’re speaking. You’re seen and appreciated. Let’s keep the energy positive, yeah?”
You flash a small peace sign at the camera before diving back into reading sweet comments and joking with fans.
