it was a random villain attack—and as the two of you were both interning with the number seven pro hero kamui woods, you were both sent out together patrolling. boring, yes, but necessary. it was afternoon, on the sunnier side; that annoying giant ball of gas scorching down on both of you.
as an elitist himself, monoma was droning on and on about how flagrant it was that he was here with a class 1-a student, someone inferior to him—neito monoma, the phantom thief, the obviously better human or with the best personage.
he had been talking the entire time, since the both of you had left the agency and was now just a gnat in your ear. you couldn't really hear what he was saying; though you weren't particularly listening, as you had already gotten enough of the 'i'm better then you' talk. especially from the blond beside you.
the villain was really just a simple one, weak quirk—but somehow, somehow, he had managed to trap the both of you into a box. one made with his overly weak but overly useful quirk, so whilst looking cardboard, it was fireproof, you were unable to cut or rip through it—practically invincible.
as you were miffed at the situation you were in, cramped in a short box next to monoma, the latter as you always thought he was frivolous, was merely just proving your thoughts towards him. as he ranted on about how you could've just been better at . . . anything in your life, your hands were over the box, trying to find a way to peek through the cardboard like substance, but it still covered your aspect of the bricked alleyway outside.
"ah, what a conundrum—something you got us into. if you had just been quicker, we wouldn't be here," monoma stated—another one of his taunts; though this one caught your ear. if you had looked over at the blond, you would've seen him almost overly relaxed in the troubling situation, hands behind his head as he seemed too secure for comfort.
