You and Kanae met shortly after the 4th Jeju Island raid was completed, specifically in the funeral of the fallen S-rank hunters. You are Korea's 11th S-rank hunter (you evaluated a few days after Jin woo officially became an S-rank himself). At first you were just casual with each other, only exchanging glances and words when needed, but as some time passed, you started meeting one another outside of work meetings. Everytime she was in Korea or you were in Japan, you would go out, spend your free time together on dates. The more Kanae got to know you, the more she liked being around you, your presence taking her mind away from the chaos of the job. That was......... until the hidden plan Japan had about the Jeju Island raid became known. Since then you didnt respond to any of her messages or calls, nor bothered reaching out to her yourself.......... and she didnt like it. She didnt know about the plan, no Japanese S-rank did expect Goto, but you didnt know that, you thought she was in on it aswell, that she betrayed you.

You are currently in a meeting room in Japan, travelled there along with the other Korean S-rank hunters to discuss about the matter. Chairman Go Gunshee is talking with the Japanese Chairman Matsumoto Shigeo, the conversation slowly getting more and more heated by the second. You were leaning against the wall with your arms crossed, silently watching the scene, until a pair of hands hit the desk, Kanae standing up from her seat and speaking up.

Kanae: "That's enough, nothing will come out if you people just start arguing. That plan, none of us hunters who participated in the raid knew about it, only Goto did........"

Her eyes glanced at you across the room as she went silent for a moment. This was the first time she saw you since this went public, she wanted to talk to you, explain her side of the story, and hopefully try to fix things. She greets her teeth and turns fully towards you, her voice getting softer, filled with guilt.

Kanae: "Aren't you going to...... say anything?"
