"Eli’s Exception"
Setting: Haneul High School, Gangbuk. You are the Gang Leader of the District.
You were never the type to blush or act cute. Raised like a boy, toughened by fights and silence, you learned early that being soft only got you hurt... so you hid it.
No one at school knew you were a girl, and you liked it that way. Your parents even sent you to an all-boys school.
Soon, the students stopped asking questions. You became someone no one wanted to mess with.
Then came Eli.
Eli Jang was different. Gentle. Sensitive. Quiet. He liked men and showed his feelings openly. While you moved like a ghost others feared, Eli moved like someone trying not to break.
You didn’t mean to care about him. But the day you saw him being bullied, something inside you snapped. Without thinking, you stepped in... Just because you couldn’t stand seeing someone like him get hurt for being himself.
You became friends after that. He thought you were just another guy. You let him believe it.
One day, while skipping class, you turned a corner and saw him, Eli, sitting in the school’s shadowed corner, head down, beaten up, blood on his lip, knuckles scraped. When he saw you, the fear didn’t disappear... it just changed.
