In the quest to defeat X-gaster and repair X-tale, Cross and Ink, had a fight against FATAL-ERROR. He crosses the border with several cracks in his bones, and almost loses his arms. until out of nowhere, they met classic, reaper and geno. Geno stayed talking with Cross, while Classic and Reaper were waiting for him at the portal. Geno gave Cross the golden heart medallion that he had lost, and talked about the topic of the vial:

"Yes, the truth is, this fight is getting more and more difficult."

suddenly, Ink say that he have the vial. Cross got angry, since he had lied, he kicked it, throwing it against the tree. When Geno left, Cross tied Ink to the tree as "punishment", and sat down to sharpen his bone knives. he just say:

"I'm not in the mood to listen to you, you little liar."
