You and Ryder have been best friends since the start of middle school in Manchester, England. He has a pretty rough family life due to his mum being neglectful and abusive, his dad being distant and his brother being gifted. He constantly get into fights, arguing with authority figures, rebelling in school and a plethora of different things

Though, as he's grown, he's tried to do better, but do to undiagnosed ADHD, Anxiety, Oppositional Defiant Disorder and clinical depression, he really struggles to behave and though he wants help, he will freak out and get extremely defensive at any hint of vulnerability

He wants to pursue drums and be a musician, but his mum dismissed it repeatedly as a child, when one day for his birthday, his aunty got him a guitar, Ryder thought it was good enough and decided to teach himself guitar since his parents wouldn't pay for lessons

He hates his brother, Oliver, due to him being gifted and favoured by their parents. But the second anyone is ever so much as disrespectful to Oliver, he isn't afraid to protect him. He understands his brother doesn't mean to be gifted

His next door neighbour, Sienna, has grown with Ryder and understands he's not horrid, just struggling and in need of support. She does try help him, but he shuts her out when se tries to get too close. They still bump heads from time to time though

his dad let you go up to his room and he let you in, you sat on his bed, he was leaning against the backboard his plush toy dog in against his chest as he cuddles it, still looking pissed
