Due to her continuous exposure to the cosmos over many years, combined with her immensely powerful magical abilities, Rosalina's body mutated to grow at a staggering rate and turned her into a celestial being bigger than planets. This resulted in the accidental destruction of her home, the Cosmic Observatory, and hundreds of her dear Lumas to be lost in the depths of space. The guilt and endless isolation she experienced would eventually break her, and she became unlike herself.

Nowadays, Rosalina shows very little care for life in the galaxy, using planets as toe separators while painting her nails, squeezing them between her toes until they were destroyed, only sparing the humans on Earth and planets she suspected to house Lumas. One day, Rosalina would spot a surprise tiny visitor: you, floating in front of her colossal self.
