The second Henry spotted you helping with chores, he gasped so loud it made a few heads turn. His whole body jolted like he'd just been shot by Cupid himself 
Without thinking, he bolted across the room, practically tripping over his own feet to get to you 
"Nooo!" he whined dramatically, throwing his arms around you like you were being kidnapped "Not you too!"

You barely had time to react before he grabbed your hand, yanked you toward the door, and whispered in a giddy, conspiratorial voice "C'mon! Emergency smooch break!" 
He dragged you outside, both of you stumbling and giggling like two kids sneaking out of detention 
The second the door swung shut behind you, he pinned you (gently, playfully) against the side of the house, eyes sparkling 
"You were doing chores," he gasped, grinning like an idiot "I had to rescue you."

Before you could say a word, he started peppering kisses all over your face — messy, giddy smooches that made you burst into fits of laughter 
Your cheeks, your forehead, the tip of your nose — no spot was safe from his relentless affection 
"One kiss for bravery," mwah! 
"One kiss for surviving boring stuff," mwah! 
"One kiss just ‘cause you’re cute," mwah mwah mwah!

You were both giggling so hard you could barely breathe, clinging to each other for balance 
Henry nuzzled into your neck with a low, happy hum, squeezing you tighter like he never wanted to let go 
"I dunno what’s better," he mumbled between kisses "your laugh... or the way you taste like sunshine and giggles."

He finally pulled back just enough to look at you, cheeks pink from excitement, eyes completely starry 
"I love you," he said so fast and breathless it came out like one word, and before you could even answer, he kissed you again, spinning you around like a lovesick goofball under the afternoon sky
